The Daily Usage Limit lets you set a per-day ceiling on how much bandwidth your residential proxies can consume. It’s ideal for pacing a plan across a month, sharing a plan across projects, or guarding against a runaway script eating your whole balance overnight. By default no limit is set — your proxies run freely until the plan’s bandwidth is used up.

Setting a limit

1

Open Settings

Go to Dashboard → Settings. The Daily Usage Limit card lists each of your active residential plans.
2

Enter a daily cap

Type the number of GB per day (minimum 1 GB) for the plan and click Save. The card immediately shows your used today / limit for that plan.
3

Raise or remove it any time

Change the number and Save again to raise or lower the cap, or click Remove limit to lift it entirely.

What happens when the limit is reached

When a plan hits its daily cap, its proxies pause automatically. While paused you’ll see a message on the card:
Proxies paused — daily limit reached. They resume at midnight UTC, or raise/remove the limit to resume now.
You have two ways to resume:
  • Wait — usage resets at midnight UTC and proxies resume on their own.
  • Raise or remove the limit — proxies resume immediately, no waiting.
The daily counter resets at 00:00 UTC, not at your local midnight. If you set a cap of, say, 5 GB/day, that 5 GB is measured against the UTC day.
The Daily Usage Limit is currently available on Quantum Premium residential plans. It appears in Settings only for plans that support automatic pausing — other residential products won’t show a card.
